Central mountains house, altitude 1080m, in typical Ardeche village

The house is 60 years old house with a terrace + lawn looking over the Mont Gerbier des Joncs. Big Chalet type of house due to the altitude (a lot of snow in winter), and in summer nice fresh nights while the days will be hot and sunny.

The house is on 3 floors: bottom has 2 big bedrooms (on king size and 2 singles) with access to the garden, a bathroom with bath, shower and toilet, the first floor has a big dining table and sitting room with a very nice wood stove, kitchen and a bedroom (king size bed) a shower and a toilet, direct access to the terrace and garden, the third floor is more like a dormitory with 2 parts (1 double bed, 2 singles and several mattresses), one toilet. Inside wooden stairs connect the floors and bottom & first connect also by a large easy path outside. there is plenty of parking space. Everything runs on electricity + dish washer, washing machine, drier.

There is no internet nor TV but 4G is good quality and town hall offers free WIFI.

About the location

Central mountains surrounded by very old volcanos: Water from the tap is from the spring that runs the village (very healthy).

Perfect for hiking, fruit picking or even better for experienced cyclists. Every year the last difficulty of the ARDECHOISE bicycle race is judged next to the house after 600m gain of altitude in 9 km.

Food is genuinely nice/good quality in the area one of the best Michelin restaurant (Regis Marcon) is 11 km away in Saint Bonnet le Froid, well known for local mushrooms.

The village has a strong catholic heritage. Nearby is Puy en Velay, le Cheylard (jewelry, leasure center), La Bathie d’Andaure (trouts), Tain l’Hermitage and CORNAS (Wine) , the Vivarais steam train, boating in Devesset, himalaya bridge over the Lignon river …on the other hand the Ardeche river is quite far.
