Cosy cottage near Lyme Regis

Our cottage sits in a small village in a beautiful hidden valley close to the Jurassic Coast in East Devon - very close to West Dorset. It has one bedroom, sleeps two (plus two on a sofa bed if a small family). It has everything needed for a comfortable stay including a pretty enclosed private garden. It is also dog friendly!

About the location

Lyme Regis is less than 10 minutes away with lots of restaurants, shops and events happening all year. There are also plenty of walking routes, activities and beaches in the area and we are close to River Cottage. You are not far from Charmouth, Beer or Branscombe beaches. Exeter is 45 mins west, and Dorchester is 45 mins east. The closest airports are Exeter (35 mins) or Bristol (1.5 hrs). You would need a car here to really enjoy the area. Nearest train station is Axminster.

The cottage dates from 1720 and has everything you'll need for a comfortable break. A cosy sitting room including a double sofa bed (if you’re sharing with someone familiar or have little ones!), a bedroom, dining area with adjoining kitchen, and a loo/shower room.

The kitchen includes a dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, radio, food processor, baking things.

From the sitting room the original narrow staircase takes you to a large and quiet bedroom, which has a very comfortable king sized bed, and another radio at the bedside. Towels are provided.

There is a collection of books (including lots of local history), walking maps, great Wi-Fi speed, Smart TV (with catch-up services, etc.), Blu-ray player, DVDs, and board games. You'll also find some interesting artwork on the walls including a collection of vintage advertising signs.

The cottage has double doors to an outdoor seating area for four with a Weber BBQ.
The cottage was renovated in 2016 and completely re-painted in 2022.
