Villa by the sea

A comfortable villa in the seaside town of Ramsgate, Kent.
Augusta Villa was built in 1840, it’s a large elegant property one block away from the beach.
Well stocked with books, games and artworks the house looks out onto a small square with trees, church and dog walkers at the front and our private garden at the back. The garden is home to our three pet chickens, who will be cared for by our neighbour, a small pond, greenhouse and workshop shed.
We have three large bedroooms each with a king sized bed, extra folding single bed available if travelling with children. There is a well equipped kitchen diner, library/ home office and sitting room.
The house is 3 minutes from Ramsgate Main Sands, a sandy beach with rock pools. Life guards on the beach to oversee safe swimming. On a clear day you can see France.

About the location

Ramsgate is a beautiful coastal town with the Royal Harbour at its center.
There are long sandy beaches, white chalk cliffs and parks and promenades to explore.
Restaurants, cafes, shops and bars are a short walk away in the center of town.
Margate with the Turner Contemporary and Carl Friedman Galleries, Dreamland and lively Old Town is 5 miles away. Broadstairs, home to many wonderful restaurants and festivals is a walk along the beach at low tide, or a cliff top walk at other times.
The train station is a 20 minute walk with regular trains to Canterbury, Margate and London. This makes day trips to London easy. A good bus service runs to all nearby towns.
Parking near the house is free.
