We have a lovely low-set and low-maintenance airconditioned open-plan home on the southern Gold Coast. Our front verandah overlooks a tranquil park with a lake, gum trees, lorikeets, and kookaburras. It's our little bit of heaven in Oz.
About the location
Banora Point is a quiet, lovely, and leafy area located at the southern end of the Gold Coast and only minutes from the Queensland border. We are within walking distance of tennis courts, a golf course, and a beautiful lakeside walking track. The area features many clubs and shopping centres and caters to retirees for activities, economical shows and meals. Our home is only 10 minutes away from the most wonderful beaches of Coolangatta and Kingscliff. We are only 35 minutes from world-famous Byron Bay and a little over an hour from Brisbane City. Brisbane features art galleries, exhibitions, theatres, museums, and fabulous restaurants. We are less than 10 minutes from Coolangatta Airport if you fancy a short flight to the iconic cities of Sydney or Melbourne. Banora Point is on a bus route so you can travel north or south. There are weekly growers markets and monthly arts and crafts markets. The period from June-August is our 'Wintersun'. The temperatures average 12 overnight to 22 during the day. Sunny and warm and not humid. Hmm! Perfect!
