Family house in quiet city near parks

Our home is a Victorian terraced house with an open-plan ground floor, large living / dining room leading into kitchen (fully equipped including dishwasher); a small utility room with washing machine and a downstairs toilet. Small back garden which gets lots of sunshine in the evening.

Upstairs, one large double front bedroom, one large children’s bedroom with bunkbeds, and a smaller single back bedroom, plus the bathroom with separate bath and shower.

About the location

Lancaster is a delightful small city, full of history: dominated by the castle and the Victorian Ashton Memorial - both of them walking distance from our house. From the bus stop just outside you can get to the world-class university (excellent sport centre and swimming pool); into the city centre with its shops, bars, restaurants, museums and theatres; or stay on the bus to travel 4 miles to the beach in Morecambe.

Our house is in a prosperous residential area south of the centre, between the city centre and the university. Many student houses because of this location, and with useful small shops just over the road, but still quiet and peaceful.

Very easy access via M6 or the West Coast mainline trains to many other UK locations including the Lake District and Manchester (less than an hour by train).
