Sweet Studio Cottage in Picturesque Village

Nestling in the middle of the well-known Yorkshire Dales village of Ingleton, our former weaver's cottage been completely renovated by Anna to become an open plan home/studio for her sculpting work.
Whether you go out for a long hike or simply wander around the village , we have excellent central heating, a log fire and cosy blankets for a lovely evening in.

The cottage has been completely remodelled from the two newly fitted bathrooms, to the open staircase and the bamboo flooring upstairs. We've kept things simple with a basic kitchen (air fryer, microwave, induction hob but no oven), a futon in the second bedroom and no TV or Wi-Fi. So unless you pop into the nearby pubs or cafes, you'll be using your mobile data!

There is off-road parking just near our home and very helpful neighbours should you need them.

About the location

Ingleton is a picturesque village within the Yorkshire Dales with lovely independent shops, various pubs and cafes, a good sized Co-op and a local bakery. There's a decent chippy and Chinese takeaway as well as pleasant gastropubs in the area. While the beautiful River Greta run through the village, there are many other charming villages nearby as well as the famous Waterfalls circular walk.
The village is also a great base for walking, caving and generally exploring the Yorkshire Dales (Wensleydale is 35 minutes' drive) and the Lake District (Windermere, with boating and canoeing, is 45 mins, Ambleside, 55 mins).
The hike up Ingleborough (2,372 ft) begins 3 mins walk from our door. It is the second-highest mountain in the Yorkshire Dales and is one of the Yorkshire Three Peaks.

Lancaster is about 35 mins away with all city amenities, including museums, art galleries, cinema and a beautiful butterfly house and mini-zoo (meerkats!) in Williamson Park.
